What kind of Church are we?
We are:
Christian. We believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he died in our place.
Baptist We do not baptise babies into the church but we do baptise those who want to follow the example of Jesus who was baptised in the Jordan.
Congregational. The Church, annually elects a church council who are responsible to make sure everything is done correctly.
Charismatic. We believe that when Jesus left this earth he gave us the Holy Spirit who remains with us as friend, encourager, and the one who gives us strength and power to live life as intended.
Contemporary. Most of our people are not from traditional church backgrounds and we try to be a church for the un-churched. You will find our worship modern, influenced by the music of Hillsong Australia, and Abundant Life Church Bradford.
Community. We try to be involved in our community. That means you will see our people involved in all aspects of our town and area. From town and district councilors to stewards at town events.
Non denominational. We are an independent Church and do not belong to a formal denomination
but we are part of the Abundant Life Network of churches.
A large number of churches like ours, across Britain and around the world are part of a network. not connected by rules or requirements but by heart, direction and purpose. Paul Scanlon and the team at Abundant Life Church in Bradford lead this network.
